Innovative Temperature Measurement Technology
Optris’ portable laser thermometers are suitable for all kinds of mobile measurements, since they offer precise spot measurements for short as well as for long distances.
Optris Infrared Sensing
Optris has been a leading innovator in infrared radiation sensors for over 10 years. They specialize in portable thermometers, fixed industrial thermometers and infrared cameras to measure temperature without contact.
Established in 2003, with the goal of providing non-contact measurements through their innovative equipment, such as cameras able to detect heat waves through walls.
Applications for their technology are widespread, and can be used in almost any industry that needs to measure or control temperature.
The benefits of using Optris’ technology are clear. Their infrared sensors are able to provide accurate temperature measurements without having to make physical contact with the object being measured. This makes them a versatile and reliable tool for a wide range of applications.
In addition, their products are designed for portability and easy use, making them perfect for mobile measurements. With a long history of innovation and a focus on making products that meet their customers' needs, Optris is a company you can trust.
Optris has a wide product range which is constantly being expanded. The main fields of application for our products are:
  • Temperature measurement and control in manufacturing processes
  • Process engineering and quality assurance
  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Research and development
  • Biotechnology
  • Food technology
Circuit boards are at the heart of the electronics industry. Although they are continuously getting smaller, their power must increase to meet quality expectations. From development to manufacturing and quality monitoring, state-of-the-art processes are used to improve product quality while decreasing manufacturing time and lowering production costs. A key part of the process is non-contact temperature measurement using thermal imagers and pyrometers.
Using infrared cameras with microscope optics as well as high performance infrared thermometers, the smallest measurement areas or spots can be detected (28 µm). This way, single components and junctions can be checked for heating spots or heat impacts.
Assemblies of electronic components must become smaller, more powerful, and more cost-effective. An important factor is design - both the arrangement and the application of the elements. The use of infrared measurement technology makes this possible. This is an ideal application for the Optris PI 640, a VGA thermal imager.
